The language I want is not there, what shall I do?

We are constantly trying to update the indicLP library with more functionalities and features. However, this certainly takes a lot of time as often there are languages we are not familiar with. As fellow developers we would love to hear from you on what languages you are looking for and also if you are looking to contribute to the library! What does the future hold for indicLP?

A wide range of languages are spoken in India and our goal is to someday make sure that all of these are supported in indicLP. We are looking for help for fellow developers, who are familiar with some of these languages, to achieve the same. Moreover we are also looking to improve the quality of data provided in the supported languages.

Why do we need to care about indic languages in NLP?

AI is just as susceptible to mistakes as humans. We have seen multiple instances of bias in AI as the data is either skewed towards one community or human bias is transferred to the datasets. It is obvious that AI is going to play a huge part in making our future and therefore it is important for us to make AI inclusive of all languages to represent the wide range of believes and that’s why we made indicLP.
